What’s the consensus amount someone should pay for a quality mattress?
Apr. 08, 2023

There isn't a fixed consensus on how much someone should pay for a quality mattress, as the "right" price will vary depending on individual preferences, needs, and budget. However, there are some general price ranges that can serve as a guideline.

A quality queen-size mattress typically falls within the range of $700 to $2,000. Within this range, you can find mattresses that offer a balance of comfort, durability, and support from reputable brands (every manufacturer has access to pretty much any ingredient you can put in a mattress so it's really about the choices they make and how they choose to price them). Of course, there are luxury mattresses that can cost $2,500 or more, but they may offer additional features or use premium materials that not everyone may find necessary or worth the extra cost. (Paying more for a mattress, at least in our store, is mostly about how long it feels as good as the day you bought it, or long before you will likely feel the need to replace it)

When shopping for a mattress, it's essential to consider factors such as your preferred sleep position, firmness preference, body type, and any specific needs (e.g., pressure relief, temperature regulation, motion isolation). Taking these factors into account will help you find a mattress that best suits your needs and preferences.

Remember that a higher price doesn't always guarantee a better mattress.(true) It's crucial to read reviews (pretty much pointless because how someone else feels about the comfort level of a mattress bares no relation to whether it's right for you) research the materials used, and, if possible, test the mattress in person before making a decision (crucial, you'll be using your next mattress for 10-20 years surely that choice is worth investigating in person). Investing in a quality mattress is important, as it can significantly impact your overall health and well-being, but finding the right one within your budget is equally essential.
