The main reason people buy a hospital bed instead of an adjustable bed is because hospital beds are specifically designed for medical use and have features that are not found on adjustable beds. These features include the ability to adjust the head, feet, and height of the bed,(an adjustable bed can do all of these) as well as the ability to raise and lower the entire bed to facilitate easier transfers in and out of the bed(100% true and a hospital bed allows the addition of "safe" side rails). 

Hospital beds also have a greater weight capacity (not true except for extreme bariatric hospital bed) and may include built-in medical equipment such as oxygen tanks or IV poles  (true). Additionally, hospital beds are often used by people who require medical care or assistance at home, such as those with chronic health conditions or disabilities.
