- Fashion Bed Group (FBG) was/ is a company that supplied upholstered & ornamental beds, residential bed frames, and bedding textiles to the retail bedding industry.
- For a long time it was operated by Leggett & Platt, a large U.S. manufacturer with many business units.

- Underperformance + Strategic Shift
In recent years before 2019, Fashion Bed Group was underperforming: weak demand, rising raw‐material costs, etc. Leggett & Platt decided it was no longer strategic in its long‐term plan. - Closure in 2019
- In March 2019, Leggett & Platt announced the closure of its Fashion Bed Group operations.
- This affected three facilities (Illinois, California, Georgia) and about 117 administrative / warehouse / sales / management staff.
- They intended to keep serving customers while existing inventory was depleted.
- Sale of the Name / Brand Revival
- After the closure, the brand name “Fashion Bed Group” was bought by Sinca, a Canadian‐based company, which already had a relationship with FBG (rights in Canada).
- Under the new ownership, Fashion Bed Group has returned to doing business: showing at trade markets (e.g. High Point Market), building out a U.S. retail footprint, setting up warehouses in U.S. (North Carolina, etc.), and importing new product lines (metal beds, platform beds, etc.) from Asia.
- After the closure, the brand name “Fashion Bed Group” was bought by Sinca, a Canadian‐based company, which already had a relationship with FBG (rights in Canada).
Current Status (as of ~2024‐2025)
- Fashion Bed Group is back in business under Sinca.
- They are expanding sales / distribution, have a U.S. warehouse in Archdale, NC, and are planning more distribution infrastructure.
- Their product portfolio includes metal beds, daybeds, platform beds, juvenile headboards, etc.
