What To Look For

To maximize reliability, even the best brands need certain features and considerations. Here’s what to check:

• Quality of the electric motor(s): quieter, rated for many cycles, with good warranty.
• Adjustable height: being able to raise or lower the bed helps reduce strain on caregivers and protect the frame/motor from damage.
• Weight capacity (and wide/bariatric options if needed). If the user is heavier, choose a bed built for that.
• Side rails / safety rails: solid, easy to use, durable mechanisms.
• Ease of maintenance & availability of parts in your area (motor, rails, controller).
• Warranty, service support. A reliable brand is one where when something breaks, you can get parts or a technician.
• Mattress-compatibility and comfort: even the best bed frame won’t help if the mattress causes pressure sores or is uncomfortable.
• Low height options or fall prevention: reliability includes safety.
