When I think back to what I had accomplished by my 30th birthday (he’ll reach that milestone in November) it pales in comparison.
Has a Masters degree. (I lasted one term)
Has a good paying job (related to the above) where he is gaining invaluable experience. (I had a job that gave me lots of experience but little remuneration)
On a number of boards and chairs committees. (neither, nor)
Owns his own home with a caring longtime life partner. (a tie)
Has a group of friends that are good people. (I have always had that but our kids groups are bigger). Nothing makes me more proud than to meet our kids friends and understand why they hang out together (hint: good people)
Judy and I have always believed that we are responsible for how our children turn out. If they fail we have failed. So far, so good:)
