This is a peculiar one that until last Saturday I had never run into before. I told the family that we’ve never had an insurance company offer to pay less than $1500 towards the total for a home hospital bed and they found that somewhat comforting but still perplexing.

Having said that, customers in my experience have had coverage up to as much as $9000 for split king adjustable beds from places like WSIB. Some insurers only cover electric hospital beds and some not anything you need, there seems to be no consistent way coverage is doled out.
