Are memory foam mattresses a good choice if you have medical or mobility issues?
Jan. 07, 2023

Memory foam mattresses can be a good choice for people with mobility issues because they are generally very comfortable and supportive. (stongly disagree because memory foam’s ability to form to your body and return to it’s flat state slowly can make it difficult for someone who is physically infirmed to move within their bed. In fact it can make it impossible for them to get out of bed at all)

They conform to the shape of your body, which can help to alleviate pressure points and reduce pain. Memory foam can also help to reduce motion transfer, which can be beneficial for people who share a bed with a partner.  (This is true but there are more supportive solutions like latex mattresses that will equally well reduce motion transfer)

However, it's important to keep in mind that everyone is different and what works for one person may not work for another. It's always a good idea to try out a mattress before you buy it to see if it is comfortable and supportive for you. (100% true and we have a Mississauga mattress showroom)
